This week has been so big for Caleb, but it has also been a big week for his brave and patient siblings. Jamee and Molly have born the stress of the week with such courage and acceptance! I finally went home last night and held them as I sang them to sleep. There was such an obviuos clinging to me, as Jamee in particular clammered to be close to me. As they drifted to sleep the phone rang, it was Dug at the hospital to tell me that Caleb was struggling with a painful process that was happening. 10 minutes later after Caleb cried for me and I was back in the car to put him to sleep.
But my poor Jamee woke with a fever and this morning as I left him, his head was in a bucket in the bathroom and Molly screamed as I handed her to mum. These two have silently been so patient as their needs have had to be placed in the hands of others. My parents have stepped into the role with amazing sensitivity and compassion. They have been available to their physical and emotional needs and all the while continued to take the burden of the practical running of our home.
There will be a change in our kids understanding and perspective through this experience. They have to process and deal with the change of their normal life as well.
We are very grateful to the multitudes of people in our life for their help, gifts, generous hearts, love and prayer. We have been so blessed by the community of people who have cared for our boy, us and the patient two....

Sweet beautiful Mary heart, remember that guilt is not of God, it is an effective and easy tool for the enemy to use, and we mums so easily let him. Jamee and Molly are loved and their needs are catered for, look at the leaps and bounds (well shuffles) that you and your loved ones have enabled Caleb to achieve. Follow God's voice and I'm sure you'll find he's telling you that just for now, Caleb needs your Mary heart beating strong next to him. You know how unbelievable your parents are, Jamee and Molly are lacking nothing, smile precious Mary heart and hold the whisper of God close xoxo
I would like to say Amen to Melle's comment.
I agree.
Absorb her words Janet they are so true.
I had the wonderful opportunity to speak to your mum and was blessed talking and sharing with her.
Your family is in good hands and whatever is missing God fills to overflowing. Take hold of that.
Love you heaps
Christine
