A day of business

Another day and we are wading through a day of getting down to business! Already today we have seen one of our surgeons, a teacher, a physio, had a consultation with a nurse about pin site care and yet to come is x rays, another surgeon, OT, splint care and the dreaded pin site care. Caleb has in his normal way braved his way throuh excruciating pain to then reatreat into his own little safe world for a period of rest. Every hour or so we shut the blinds, put a note on the door, turn on his worship music and let him rest.
This afternoon he must face the first of his pin site care which involves us removing the dressing and moving the skin that has grafted onto the frame off of the pin site and cleaning around and under the skin. We have been told to breathe deeply and prepare for this as we will need to do this for him a couple of times a day everyday for as long as the frame is on.
But in the midst of this Caleb tries to make lego, do his readers and writes notes like the one below.

Just a quick note from myself, Miss Mcintyre and 2C. We are praying for you every day and this morning Genyr, Lachlan, Sara-Kate, Gip and Briana all prayed for you in morning devotions. 6H looked at your blog today and they prayed for you in their morning devotions too.
We all miss and want you to know that we think you are very brave!

Hey Caleb! It's "Big Jessica". I just wanted to tell you that I love you soo much, and that you're the bravest boy that I know... including all the 'big' boys at my school.

I hope you know how special you are to me. I'm lucky to have you as a friend. :)

HI Caleb

I wish I could come and visit you. Your leg looks pretty scary hey?! It will take a lot of kisses and prayers and time to make it better. I hope you're not in too much pain.
lots and lots of love
