Well I have said it before in previous posts, but tonight I say it again. We try not to have expectations because they lead to you having disappointment when things look different to what you had thought they would. And so tonight we sit and wait to see which way our road will turn. Caleb starting shivering at 5:15 this afternoon and by 6:20 his temp had spiked to 39.23. We are currently watching and waiting to see what our night will bring. He is restlessly sleeping now and we are thankful he is resting. We have two options for now:
1. He has caught some type of virus or infection like a sore throat etc
2. He is showing early signs of post operative infection.
And so we wait and try not to race ahead.....
It is such a life lesson for me. How many times have I found myself frustrated, disappointed, angry or upset because things have not turned out as I expected? OR because someone has disappointed me? If only I could live a little more without expectations of how things must be, how people must act or relate, what my days will look like? Maybe God wants me to be simply more present and availiable to the moment in front of me, no matter what it brings. In a book I am reading that a very wise and beautiful friend gave to me for this week called SACRED CHOAS it says:
Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery it is. In the boredom and the pain of it no less than the excitment and gladness:touch, taste, smell your way into the holy and hidden heart of it because in the last analysis, all moments are key moments and life itself is GRACE.
Frederick Buechner in Disciplines for the Inner Life.
ALL MOMENTS ARE KEY MOMENTS AND LIFE ITSELF IS GRACE!!

Hey buddy,
You should have seen how many hands went up during devotions today after we found out how you were doing! You have so many people here at school who are crying out to God for you. All the 2C 'prayer warriors' will continue to pray for you and your family.
We are so proud of you!!
Bless you Caleb- Mr. Shield

Hi Caleb this is Gip again how are you? I wish you were at school. The class misses you and we are praying for you to get better. We are learning about dangerous plants. I hope your Mum gets stronger so she turn the pins carefully everyday.

Hi it's your friend Kaden - you might not know me because we haven't met for a long time. I hope you get better. I've been praying that your leg grows a little bit every day and I hope the doctors are taking good care of you. You are so cool and I'm glad you are brave because I wouldn't be able to pass the pain test and I don't think I'd be able to get throught it. I want your leg to get better so that we can play together and your leg won't hurt when you kick a ball. From Kaden
